Week 2 tracks early impressions, query discovery, and why small numbers should be treated as signals instead of proof.

Week 2 looks for the first signs that Google understands the site. This is where it is tempting to overreact, so the method matters more than the numbers.

Hypothesis

Early impressions may appear before clicks, and that can be good. It means pages are being tested for relevance.

Methodology

We will compare week-over-week impressions, note which pages receive query exposure, and avoid making major content changes unless a technical issue is obvious.

What we are measuring

  • Query variety
  • Pages with first impressions
  • Average position ranges
  • Queries that do not match page intent
  • Pages with zero-click impressions
